99 Bottles, Their Caps on the Wall:
This is a collection of 99 bottle caps found at Screens 5 and 6 of the Scottsdale Century Six Drive-In. Each bottle was consumed by an individual or group of individuals and therefore each cap symbolizes a fragment of peoples’ Drive-in experience. One of the most commonly found objects at Drive-ins, the bottle caps act as if they are each a singular person, having attributes unique to themselves. They have been left behind and serve as a mark of presence. Through exposure to time, natural weathering, and further human interaction the bottle caps represent artifacts associated with personal experience, physical existence and an ever-evolving narrative within the Drive-in environment.
